Flesh and Blood: Armory events and formats

Flesh and Blood: Armory events and formats

Flesh and Blood is a trading card game from Legend Story Studios in New Zealand. Each player picks a hero and builds a deck around that hero's class. Games are one-on-one duels with a strong focus on combat.

Armory events

Armory events are the game's casual in-store tournaments, usually weekly and open to anyone. Prizes are store-distributed packs with exclusive Cold Foil, Marvel and Extended Art cards. Social Play variants are even more relaxed and are aimed at newcomers.

Constructed formats

  • Classic Constructed - an adult hero, a card pool of up to 80 cards, a deck of at least 60 and up to 3 copies of each card.
  • Blitz - a young hero, exactly 40 cards from a pool of 52, one copy of each card. Games are faster.
  • Silver Age - a young hero, commons and rares only, 40 cards from a pool of 55, up to 2 copies of each card. Promoted as the accessible format for 2026.
  • Living Legend - Classic Constructed rules with retired heroes allowed.

Competitive play

ProQuest events are in-store competitive tournaments that qualify players for the Pro Tour. A Calling is a large open-entry tournament with side events, such as Calling: Columbus in January 2026.

Getting started

  • Start with a pre-built hero deck, then upgrade it with singles.
  • Try Blitz or Silver Age first: smaller decks, lower cost, quicker games.
  • Ask at an Armory for a demo game; regular players are happy to teach.
